Linda Danvers is a character featured in DC Comics as Supergirl. While numerous characters have taken on the mantle of Supergirl, Linda Danvers is distinct from Kara Zor-El, the more commonly known Supergirl. Linda Danvers, originally Linda Lee Danvers, first appeared in Supergirl #1 (September 1996).

Linda Danvers' origin story involves a merger with a matrix of artificial protoplasm created by Lex Luthor. This matrix was originally intended to be used to create a new Supergirl to replace Kara after her death in the original Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline. This fusion granted Linda superpowers and transformed her into Supergirl.

This version of Supergirl's powers are often portrayed as being somewhat different from those of Kryptonian Supergirl characters. Linda Danvers' Supergirl is portrayed as having angelic abilities and ties to heaven due to her powers originating from earth.
